Sutro Tower is the local San Francisco landmark. It's not often in the tourist literature, not like the Golden Gate Bridge, or the Trans America Building. But it's a landmark every native, visitor as well, had lived in the shadow of whether they noticed it or not. After all, it's just a radio tower.

This picture was taken in front of my house. Just to the left of Sutro, you can see the tower of the old theatre on Ocean. It's been the Voice of Pentecost church for as long as my memory goes.

This one is shot from the Avenues, not far from Parnassus.

This is another one taken in the Avenues.

Not sure where this was shot from, but it looks like UCSF at the base of that hill, on the other side of Golden Gate Park.

The Avenues, just below 19th, close to Noriega.

Hunters Point, near third.

Shot from Marin Headlands.

This one as well, was shot from Marin Headlands. It's the one landmark in SF you can see from all sides, from almost any distance.
